Ship-from-Store Integration

This article covers an example integration for Ship from Store and the most important settings. Contact your account manager for an individual implementation plan.

API-First-2

To use Ship from Store, you should have completed the following steps:

  1. Stores created
  2. Catalog imported
  3. In-Store App installed in the stores
  4. Shipping methods and carriers configured

To activate Ship from Store as a fulfillment method, the "Direct Ship" option must be enabled in the fulfillment settings. You can find this option in the admin under Settings › Fulfillment in the "Fulfillment Methods" section. If your products are not yet assigned to a fulfillment method during import, you also need to enable "Direct Ship" in the "Global Product Default Fulfillment Methods" section.

You can find all other settings for Ship from Store here.

Example integration

Showing cumulated stock in the shop

A big advantage of Ship from Store is that you can sell the stock of your local stores online. For this, the Shopgate API provides the cumulated stock levels. They already take the safety stock and any active reservations into account.

You can find the API method here.

Sending new orders to Shopgate

Every new order must be sent to Shopgate. We recommend doing this via your ERP system, as it usually also knows the orders from marketplaces etc.

You can find the corresponding API documentation here.

Handing orders over to warehouses

If Order Routing decides that an order should be shipped from a warehouse, we notify your interface via webhook. This lets you create the order in the corresponding warehouse tool.

Receiving order updates

Shopgate informs you in real time about changes to the status of an order. For example, you can capture the authorized credit card amount right after the order has been handed over to the shipping partner.

You can find the webhook for the updates here.

Integrating carriers

Shopgate has integrated Shipcloud as an interface to all relevant carriers. Shipcloud bills the shipping costs etc. directly to you. Simply enter your Shipcloud API key in the configuration.
