Your own prepayment

Shopgate supports prepayment as a payment method. You handle each prepayment entirely yourself.

Prepayment can be set up at Shopgate for the following markets: 

  Prepayment

UK No
Germany Yes
Austria Yes
Switzerland Yes
Poland Yes

Setting up prepayment at Shopgate

Follow these steps to offer your customers payment by prepayment:

  1. Log in to your Shopgate Admin.
  2. In the menu, click Settings and then select Payment Methods.

  3. Go to the "Add payment method" section. In the "Please choose a payment method" field, search for Prepayment.

    IMPORTANT: If the payment method Shopgate Prepayment is already pre-installed, please delete it by clicking Config and then Delete. You can then set up the provider you want for prepayment.

  4. In the pop-up window that opens, enter your bank details, i.e. Account holder, Bank name, Country, IBAN and BIC. Finally, click Save to apply your entries.
    Note: In this pop-up window, you can set whether orders paid by prepayment are shipped free of charge. You can also charge additional fees for these orders. To do so, click the slider(s) to set them to YES. Further options then appear that you can edit as you like.

  5. When you click Save, prepayment is activated in your app.
