Setting up direct debit payment

Shopgate supports direct debit as a payment method. You manage this payment method entirely yourself.

Direct debit can be set up at Shopgate for the following markets: 

  Payment by direct debit
USA Yes
UK Yes
Germany Yes
Austria Yes
Switzerland Yes
Poland Yes
France Yes

Setting up direct debit at Shopgate

  1. Log in to your Shopgate Admin.
  2. In the menu, click Settings and then select Payment Methods.

  3. Go to the search field "Please choose a payment method" and select Direct Debit from the drop-down menu.

  4. No further information is required in the pop-up window that opens. Simply click Save to add direct debit to your payment methods.
    Please note: You can offer free shipping for all purchases paid by direct debit or charge additional fees on all direct debit orders. To do so, set the corresponding switch to Yes. (You will find further options in the settings under Free shipping and Additional charges.)

  5. Finally, click Save to activate direct debit as a payment method for your customers in your app.
