Setting up cash on delivery at Shopgate
- Log in to your Shopgate admin.
- In the menu bar, click Settings and then select Payment Methods.
- Go to the "Add payment method" section at the bottom and type cash on delivery into the search field. As soon as the payment method appears in the list, click it to select it.
- Configure the settings in the pop-up window and then click Save.

Once the configuration is complete, cash on delivery is available to your customers.
Frequently Asked Questions
Where should I enter the postal charges: in "Shipping service fee" or in "Additional charges"?
That depends on how you pay the shipping service.
If your contract requires you to pay the fees separately, you should enter the charge per order under "Additional charges".
If the delivery person charges your customers a service fee for the delivery, enter this fee in the "Shipping service fee" field.
In both cases, your customer has to pay the postal charges. The only difference is that the amount under "Shipping service fee" is NOT reflected in the order confirmation.
