This article gives you all the information you need to activate the payment method Ingenico (Ogone) for your apps.

Setting up Ingenico (Ogone) at Shopgate

Required information

Please prepare the following information before you set up Ingenico (Ogone):

Account information Description
PSPID This is your Ingenico (Ogone) payment service provider ID.
User ID This is your Ingenico (Ogone) user ID or the user ID of your API user account.
Password This is your Ingenico (Ogone) password or the password of your API user account.
Hash composed of Which information do you want to include in your hash signature: basic information or all information?
Hash algorithm Which security hash algorithm do you use: SHA-1, SHA-256 or SHA-512?
Character encoding Which encoding type do you offer for secure payment: ISO-8859-1, UTF-8 or the character encoding of the initial transaction request?
SHA-IN pass phrase (DirectLink) Do you want to set up a verification phrase as additional security?
Transaction type What is your payment transaction type: "Authorize Only" or "Authorize and Capture"?
3D Secure Do you use the "3D Secure" feature in your Ingenico (Ogone) account? 
Minimum amount required for 3D Secure orders If you use 3D Secure: do you want to set a minimum order value?
Supported credit card types Select all credit cards accepted in your Ingenico (Ogone) account.

Adding Ingenico (Ogone) as a payment method

To offer Ingenico (Ogone) as a payment method in your app, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your Shopgate admin.
  2. In the menu bar, click Settings and then select Payment Methods.

  3. Go to the "Add payment method" search field and select Ingenico (Ogone) under "Credit Card" from the list that opens.

  4. Enter your Ingenico (Ogone) account details in the pop-up window. Select the same credit card types that you have configured in your Ingenico (Ogone) account. Your account information is then validated automatically. Where can I find the required information?

  5. If you like, set up additional charges and then click Save to finish setting up Ingenico (Ogone).

You can find the information at Ingenico (Ogone). To do this, log in to your account.

PSPID & User ID

Point your mouse at the figure icon next to Logout. Your PSPID and user ID are shown here.

Password

The password is your Ingenico (Ogone) login password.

If you use a separate user account for your API connection, please enter the password of your API user account instead. Am I using an API user account for API connection purposes?

Hash composed of

You can choose between "Main parameters only" and "All parameters, each followed by a pass phrase".

    • Use "Main parameters only" to include basic information about individual orders (order ID, PSPID, total amount, currency, etc.)
    • Use "All parameters, each followed by a pass phrase" to create a secure and complete hash signature (recommended).

SHA-IN pass phrase (DirectLink)

You can find the SHA-IN pass phrase (DirectLink) under Configuration → Technical information → Data and origin verification. Look for "Checks for Ingenico (Ogone) DireckLink and Ingenico (Ogone) Batch (Automatic)" and click Visible there to see the SHA-IN pass phrase.

Transaction type

To find the transaction type, click Configuration → Technical information and then select the Global transaction parameters tab.

  • If the default operation code on this page is "Sale", your transaction type is "Authorize and Capture".
  • If the default operation code on this page is "Authorisation", your transaction type is "Authorize Only".

3D Secure

Choose between "Use 3D Secure" and "Never use 3D Secure".

To use 3D Secure in your Ingenico (Ogone) account, go to Advanced → Fraud detection. Click Edit to set up the service for each credit card type you use.

Minimum amount required for 3D Secure orders

If you want to set a minimum value for orders with 3D Secure, please enter a value without a currency sign in the text field (e.g. 20.00 or 30.50).

This option ONLY applies if you have selected "Use 3D Secure".

Setting up real-time order status

To receive real-time updates on your order status, please set up the direct HTTP request: 

  1. Log in to your Ingenico (Ogone) account and go to Configuration → Technical information → Transaction feedback.

  2. Configure the section "Direct HTTP server-to-server request" as shown in the screenshot below. 
    • Timing of the request: select Always online
    • Both URLs: enter https://api.shopgate.com/payment/ogone_ipn
    • Request method: select POST

Frequently Asked Questions 

Am I using an API user account for API connection purposes?

In your Ingenico (Ogone) account, you can set up API users for the sole purpose of connecting to external services, such as Shopgate, via API. To check whether you have such an API user account, go to Configuration → Users (see screenshot below). 

If you find an account in the overview that is only used for the API connection, enter the user ID and password of this account at Shopgate.

User accounts at Ingenico (Ogone) must be configured as API users in the Ingenico (Ogone) settings. Ingenico (Ogone) only accepts API requests from whitelisted IP addresses. So make sure that the following IP address is allowed to connect to your Ingenico (Ogone) account: 176.34.154.104. You can check these details and the communication settings in your Ingenico (Ogone) account settings. If this is not the case, please contact Ingenico (Ogone).
