Apple Pay & Google Pay are the easiest ways for your customers to pay for an order. Shopgate has partnered with Stripe in order to enable both payment methods for your shop.
Apple Pay works in Safari on iOS & macOS devices. Google Pay is currently supported on Android Smartphones & Tablets.
How to enable Google Pay
All you need to do is to have the payment method "Credit Card via Stripe" enabled for your shop. The button to pay via Google Pay will then automatically show up at the checkout page on qualifying devices.
How to enable Apple Pay
You need to have the payment method "Credit Card via Stripe" enabled, and additionally you need to whitelist the domain of your shop at Stripe.
For that log in to your Stripe account and go to Settings → Payment Methods → Apple Pay "configure" and click on "Add new domain".
There you need to enter the domain of your curbside store, without "https://" and without any trailing "/". Example: "myShop.curbside.shopgate.com". You do not need to download the verification file. Click on Add to add the domain.
Stripe will then validate your domain. This process may take a few minutes. Once validated, the button to pay via Apple Pay will automatically show up on the checkout page.
