Fulfillment Operations Introduction

The fulfillment operations dashboard provides an overview of the current state of in-store or contactless fulfillment. By providing a break down of the total number of fulfillment orders by status per location all in a single and easy to read format. This at a glance status can be quickly filtered by a single location or viewed for the entire organization allowing you to quickly identify potential slow downs in operations.

The at a glance view provides a quick visual breakdown of total number of fulfillment orders by category and then broken-down by status. In the bottom right of each status category group you will also see what percentage of the total number of fulfillment orders are in the status category. 

There are a total of five status categories:

  • New
    • Fulfillment orders in the new category represent net new orders which have been created and routed to a location for fulfillment, however no action has been taken on the fulfillment order. 
    • There is a single fulfillment order status in this category currently:
      • "New" which means that the fulfillment order has been routed to the a location, but no action has been taken to fulfill it yet. 
  • Working
    • The working category represents fulfillment orders in which some progress has been made in the fulfillment of the order, but it has not been marked ready for a shopper to pick up yet. There are three fulfillment order statuses in this category currently:
      • "Accepted" which means all items on the fulfillment order have been marked accepted by a  user.
      • "In Progress" which means items are in various states of "Accepted" and "Picked" and generally means the order is actively being worked on. 
      • "Picked" which means all items have been marketed as "Picked" and generally implies the are in the process of being packaged for pickup. 
  • Ready
    • The ready category represents fulfillment orders which have been marked as ready for pick up by a shopper but have not been completed or canceled yet.
    • There are two fulfillment order statuses in this category currently:
      • "Ready" which means the fulfillment order is ready for a shopper to pick it up and any configured notifications should have already been sent. 
      • "Checked In" which means a shopper has come into the store to pick up the fulfillment order (if "Check In" is enabled in General Settings)
  • Complete
    • The complete category represents fulfillment orders which have been marked complete and reached a terminal state. 
    • There is a single fulfillment order status in this category currently:
      • "Completed" which means that fulfillment order was successfully picked up by a shopper. 
  • Canceled
    • The canceled category represents fulfillment orders which have been canceled by a user or automatically. 
    • There are currently two fulfillment order status which in the category:
      • "Canceled" which generally means a shopper requested to cancel the order or a user was unable to fulfill the order. 
      • "Rejected" which generally means that when the order was received by the location they were unable to accept or fulfill the order.

 

Location Filter

By default this view displays a summary of all locations within your organization. However, this overview can be filtered to a single location with a quick change of the location filter. It is important to note that changing the location filter will also impact the fulfillment cycle times at the bottom of this page. 

Fulfillment Status Quick Links

You will also notice that each of the status are links. Clicking one of these status will direct the user to the Fulfillment module (if a user has permissions) and display the fulfillment grid, automatically filtered to the currently selected location and status. Fulfillment Order Cycle Times

On the bottom on the fulfillment operations page, you will find a summary of the average cycle times for the selected locations and date range. Fulfillment cycle times are averaged by the following groups:

  • Time to Accept
    • This is the time from fulfillment order creation to the acceptance of all line items on the fulfillment order. 
  • Time to Pick
    • This is the time from fulfillment order being accepted to the when all line items are marked at "Picked" on the fulfillment order.
  • Time to Ready
    • This is the time from once the fulfillment order was marked as "Picked" to when the fulfillment order was marked ready for pickup. 
  • Time to Complete
    • This is the time from once the fulfillment order was marked as "Ready" to when the fulfillment order was completed or canceled. 
  • Cycle Time (End to End)
    • This displays the average cycle time for the fulfillment order; from create to complete or canceled. 

Date Range Filter

The date range filter allows you to quickly see the cycle time averages by one of three preconfigured date ranges; Today, Yesterday, or This Month. 

 

Fulfillment Order Breakdown

Below the fulfillment cycle times, you will find a quick breakdown of the total fulfillment orders for the date range selected, the average number of line items on the fulfillment orders, and the average fulfillment order value.
