With the Facebook Pixel, you can create, measure and optimize Facebook Ad campaigns on your mobile website.


In this article, you will find everything you need to set up Facebook Pixel tracking at Shopgate.

Getting started

The Facebook pixel is a piece of JavaScript code embedded in your mobile website.

It can report conversions, build audiences and provide insights into how people use your entire mobile website.


To set up Facebook Pixel tracking on your mobile website, please collect the following information:

Account Info Description
Pixel ID This ID can be found in your Facebook Pixel panel.

If you don't have a Facebook Pixel yet, you can create one by following this documentation.

If you use a Facebook conversion tracking pixel, you can transform it into a Facebook Pixel by following this documentation.


Setting up Facebook Pixel in the Shopgate Admin

To connect Facebook Pixel as a tracking service provider, please complete the following steps:

  1. Log in to your Shopgate Admin page.

  2. Click on Settings from the menu bar, then select Tracking Tools.

  3. Locate the Facebook Pixel section, turn it to ON. and enter your Pixel ID. Click Save.

That's it! Facebook Pixel has been set up for your Shopgate mobile website.


Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use Facebook Pixel to track my mobile apps?

No. The Facebook Pixel can only be embedded in a website, not an app. To set up tracking for your mobile apps, use Facebook Analytics for Apps


Where can I find my Facebook Pixel ID?

To find the Facebook Pixel ID, go to your Facebook Pixel panel and look on the right-hand side.

Your Pixel ID should show up here.


Can I use Facebook Pixel tracking at Shopgate for my conversion tracking pixel?

No. The Facebook Pixel is tracked in a different way than the conversion tracking pixel. If you're using the Facebook conversion tracking pixel, read this article instead.

However, Facebook is going to replace the conversion tracking pixel with the Facebook Pixel in February 2017. You can follow this article to transition your conversion tracking pixel.
