1. Registering a Chase Paymentech Merchant Account

To start using Chase Paymentech at Shopgate, you need to register for a Merchant Account at the Chase Paymentech website. Please follow the steps here:

 US merchants

  1. Go to Chase Paymentech website and click Apply.

  2. Fill out the registration form and click Submit Your Information.

 UK merchants

  1. Go to Chase Paymentech website and select Europe. Click Contact Us on top.

  2. Fill out the registration form and click "Submit Your Information".

 German merchants

  1. Go to Chase Paymentech website and select Germany. Click Kontaktieren Sie uns on top.

  2. Fill out the registration form and click "Nachricht versenden".

2. Adding Chase Paymentech as a payment provider

2.1 Collecting necessary information

To connect your Chase Paymentech account at Shopgate, you will need the following credentials and configuration details. Please collect these before you proceed.

Account Info Description
Merchant ID This is your Chase Paymentech account ID.
Username This is your Chase Paymentech Username.
Password This is your Chase Paymentech password.
Server Name Select your server name from the drop-down. What is my Server Name?
Transaction Type What is your payment transaction type? Authorize Only or Authorize and Capture?
Supported credit card types You will be asked to select all the accepted credit cards in your Chase Paymentech account.

2.2 Setting up Chase Paymentech at Shopgate

To set up Chase Paymentech as a credit card payment method, please complete the following steps:

  1. Log in to your Shopgate Admin page.
  2. Click on Settings from the menu bar, then select Payment.
  3. Find Add payment method section, and start typing Chase Paymentech. Select Chase Paymentech under Credit Card from the list.
  4. Enter your Chase Paymentech account information in the pop-up window. Select the same credit card types configured in your Chase Paymentech account. Your account information will be validated automatically.
  5. Click Save. That's it! Chase Paymentech is now successfully set up as your credit card payment provider.

 

2.3 Finding the required information

To find the information required above, please log on to Chase Paymentech.

  1. On the Chase Paymentech homepage, click "Merchant Login" button at the top.
  2. Choose "Orbital Virtual Terminal", and click Go.
  3. Log in to your account.

Merchant ID

You should see your Merchant ID listed on the Orbital Virtual Terminal home page.

Username & Password

You should receive 2 separate emails from Chase Paymentech Orbital after your merchant account has been confirmed. In the emails, you will get information about your username and password.

Transaction Type

You should be able to find this info on the NEW ORDER > Authorize page.

Supported credit card types

3.1 What is my Server Name?

In general, merchant accounts registered in the U.S. should use "Tampa" as the Server Name. Other accounts (UK, Germany) should use "Salem" as the Server Name. If in doubt, please confirm this information with your Chase Paymentech representative.
