Notifying customers about a delivery

Your customers expect constant updates from you after they have placed an order. Among the most wanted updates are an order confirmation email and a notification that their order has been shipped. These updates reassure customers that their purchases were not in vain, and their products will be in their hands very soon.

At Shopgate, a function is provided for you to send out an email containing necessary information of an order--information like the delivery service used, the tracking number attached to the package, and an estimated delivery date. If your shopping cart system does not automatically send out a delivery notice, try out our easy tool to keep your customers updated in only three steps:

  1. On your Shopgate Admin website, navigate to the Orders page and click Details on the order you need to add delivery info to.

  2. On the Order Details page, click Add Delivery.

  3. A pop-up will appear. In this pop-up, you can choose a delivery service from the drop-down, add a tracking number, and select an estimated delivery date. When you are done, make sure to check the "Send an e-mail to customer" box and click Add delivery.

You have successfully notified your customer about a delivery.
