Notifying customers about a delivery


Information is everything in e-commerce.

Your customers are expecting constant updates from you after they have placed an order. A confirmation email "Thank you for purchasing from us." and a notification "Your order has been shipped." are among the most wanted.



At Shopgate, a function is provided for you to send out an email containing necessary information of an order: delivery service, tracking number, and an estimated delivery date. If your shopping cart system does not automatically send out a delivery notice, try out our easy tool to keep your customers updated in only 3 steps:

  1. On your Shopgate Admin website, navigate to the Orders page and then click on the order you need to add delivery info to.

  2. On the Order Details page, click .

  3. A pop-up will appear. In this pop-up, you can choose a delivery service from the drop-down, add a tracking number, and select an estimated delivery date. When you are done, make sure to check the box "Send an e-mail to customer" and click "Add delivery".

Now you have successfully notified your customer about a delivery.
