Your customers expect constant updates from you after they have placed an order. Among the most wanted updates are an order confirmation email and a notification that their order has been shipped. These updates reassure customers that their purchases were not in vain, and their products will be in their hands very soon.
At Shopgate, a function is provided for you to send out an email containing necessary information of an order--information like the delivery service used, the tracking number attached to the package, and an estimated delivery date. If your shopping cart system does not automatically send out a delivery notice, try out our easy tool to keep your customers updated in only three steps:
- On your Shopgate Admin website, navigate to the Orders page and click Details on the order you need to add delivery info to.
On the Order Details page, click Add Delivery.
- A pop-up will appear. In this pop-up, you can choose a delivery service from the drop-down, add a tracking number, and select an estimated delivery date. When you are done, make sure to check the "Send an e-mail to customer" box and click Add delivery.
You have successfully notified your customer about a delivery.
