Applying a discount after an order is placed

It just takes four easy steps to apply a discount after a customer has already placed their order.

  1. Log in to the Shopgate Admin area with your login details.
  2. From the Orders page, search for the order you need to apply a discount to, and click Details.
  3. On the Order Details page, click Cancel and Refund.


  4. A pop-up will appear. Choose Cancel part of order. Click the Cancel drop-down and choose Manual. Enter the discount amount. Click Save.

    Please note that Shopgate doesn't differentiate between a cancelation and a discount. You can only apply one discount or cancelation to each order. If you have already canceled part of an order, you will not be able to apply a discount to the same order.
