Setting up your own prepayment

Shopgate supports Prepayment as a payment method. By setting up this option at Shopgate, you will be able to accept customer payments from the available marketplace:

IMPORTANT: This payment will be processed entirely by you.

 

In this article, you will find information to set up your own prepayment for your mobile website and apps.

To set up your own prepayment, please complete the following steps:

  1. Log in to your Shopgate Admin page.

  2. Click on Settings from the menu bar, then select Payment.



  3. Find Add payment method section, search for Prepayment, and select Prepayment under Payment method.
    IMPORTANT: If Prepayment via Shopgate is already pre-installed in your shop, please delete this payment by clicking on Config then Delete. Then you're able to add your own prepayment method.

  4. In the pop-up window, enter your bank account information. The required information includes name of the Account holder, name of your bank, Country of the bank account, IBAN, and BIC numbers. Click Save to activate Prepayment option.
    Note: You can set all prepayment orders to free shipping, or to charge additional fees for all prepayment orders. To do so, slide the slider(s) to Yes. You will reveal more options under Free shipping or Additional charges.

  5. That's it! Prepayment is now successfully set up as one of your payment methods.
