Find API credentials

The first step to connect your Mauve Mailorder shop to Shopgate is to get your API credentials from your Shopgate account.

  1. Log in to your Shopgate Admin and navigate to Integration → Install Interface.
  2. In the drop-down labeled Select a system, type Mauve Mailorder and select it.
  3. A popup opens. Under "2. Configure", copy Customer number, Shop number, API key, and Alias to a text editor - you will need to enter them in the next Chapter. These are the API credentials the plugin needs to be authenticated at the Shopgate backend. Leave this page open - we will come back to enter the URL (explained in Establish connections).

 

Enter credentials in Mauve

To establish a connection between your Mauve Mailorder backend and your mobile shop, two simple tasks need to be done: to enter API credentials in your shop's backend, and to enter your shop's URL in Shopgate. To get the API Key, follow the simple steps below.

  1. Log in to your Mauve System3 backend.
  2. Under Marktplätze → M-Shopgate → Einstellungen, click M-Shopgate Account verwalten (Manage M-Shopgate Account) to open a window shown below.
  3. Click + Hinzufügen to open the window "M-Shopgate Einstellungen". Enter your Shopgate account credentials and API key copied from the previous chapter. Click OK to save.

 

Establish connections

This is the last step before a connection can be made - you're almost there! Simply enter your shop's URL at Shopgate, and your mobile shop will be almost ready.

  1. Go back to the pop-up window at your Shopgate merchant page (step 4). Enter your shop's URL to the text field under 3. Enter URL. Click connect to establish the interface.
  2. If a connection is made successfully, a popup shown below will open. Here you will be able to assign jobs for your first connection. Leave all assignments to ON at this time. Click Save.

That's it! Now the Shopgate backend will automatically start to import product data via the newly established interface. Welcome to the mobile world 😊
