In this article, you will find the instructions to set up a connection to Shopgate for your Mauve Mailorder shop.

Mauve interface for Shopgate is developed by Mauve Mailorder. For technical support please contact Mauve Mailorder directly.

Topics covered in this article:

  1. Getting API credentials
  2. Entering credentials in Mauve
  3. Establishing a connection to Shopgate
  4. Configuring the Connection

1. Getting API credentials

The first step to connect your Mauve Mailorder shop to Shopgate is to get your API credentials from your Shopgate account.

  1. Log in to your Shopgate Admin page. If you don't already have an account with Shopgate, sign up or start a free trial at the Shopgate website.

  2. Click on Integration from the menu bar, then select Install Interface.

  3. In the drop-down labeled Select a system, type Mauve Mailorder and select it.

  4. A popup opens. Under "2. Configure", copy Customer number, Shop number, API key, and Aliasto a text editor - you will need to enter them in the next Chapter. These are the API credentials the plugin needs to authenticate at the Shopgate backend. Leave this page open - we will come back to enter the URL (explained in Chapter 3. Establishing connection).

2. Entering credentials in Mauve

To establish a connection between your Mauve Mailorder backend and your mobile shop, two simple tasks need to be done: to enter API credentials in your shop's backend, and to enter your shop's URL in Shopgate. To get the API Key, follow the simple steps below.

  1. Log in to your Mauve System3 backend.
  2. Under Marktplätze > M-Shopgate > Einstellungen, click M-Shopgate Account verwalten (Manage M-Shopgate Account) to open a window shown below.

  3. Click + Hinzufügen to open the window "M-Shopgate Einstellungen". Enter your Shopgate account credentials and API key copied from the previous chapter. Click OK to save.

3. Establishing a connection to Shopgate

This is the last step before a connection can be made - you're almost there! Simply enter your shop's URL at Shopgate, and your mobile shop will be almost ready.

  1. Go back to the pop-up window at your Shopgate merchant page (step 4). Enter your shop's URL to the text field under 3. Enter URL. Click connect to establish the interface.

  2. If a connection is made successfully, a popup shown below will open. Here you will be able to assign jobs for your first connection. We recommend to leave all assignments to ON at this time. Click Save.

  3. Congratulations! Now you should see the progress bar running, and the Shopgate backend automatically filling your mobile shop with your products. Depending on how many products you have, the import process can take anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours. You can always check the status of the imports. If no status bar is shown, it means either the import is finished, or no import is running at the moment.

Welcome to the mobile world :)

4. Configuring the Connection

To configure your connection in more details, follow the instructions in Mauve's knowledge base.
